In case you were wondering...

It is, in fact, possible to get a crying baby out of her swing, comfort said baby back to sleep, put baby back in swing, run downstairs and empty a potty while retrieving the button dropped in said potty all while nursing another baby.

Really, I'm learning to do a lot of things one-handed, since I'm almost always nursing one baby or the other.  Some tasks I have accomplished while nursing in the past few weeks:

Folding and sorting laundry
Baking bread
Wiping bottoms
Eating Cheez-its
Changing diapers (no, but almost.  Then someone decided to start pooping on the floor and it was all downhill from there)
Reading books to older kids
Setting up TV shows for the big kids to watch (only a few, I promise...)
Rinsing dishes
Putting away (some) dishes
Watching "Say Yes to the Dress" on Netflix (don't judge)
Ordering pizza online
Putting on sweatpants
House hunting

And more!

Heck, the next baby is gonna feel like such a breeze compared to these two!

  1. Wow, and I thought I was pretty accomplished to be able to cook while nursing a baby . . . You're amazing!

House-hunting? Seriously, when were you going to tell your mom about this?

  2. Hahahahaha!!!!! I feel like this with one, I can NOT imagine two!!! Have you seen the Duggars reality show?? I think you need one of those attachments like the mom has that goes around your waist and holds the baby up so you can have BOTH hands free :)

    1. I haven't seen it in a while - my ginormous twin nursing pillow buckles around my waist but the babies weigh enough now that I'm not comfortable moving around with it unless I'm holding up both sides, which kind of defeats the purpose! One of these days I'll get really good at nursing while babywearing, but I've never really gotten the hang of it...
