Theme Thursday: Funny!

I never really know what to do on Holy Saturday...  We're just waiting around while Jesus is in the tomb!  But it's hard to stay solemn all day with kids who are anything BUT solemn.  So I got Andrew to do some science experiments with John Paul!

See, John Paul received a science kit for Christmas from his godfather.  And he's barely touched it, because you know who ACTUALLY has to do those experiments?  Grown-ups.  And when you've just had twins and are still trying to take care of a 3-year-old and a 2-year-old and keep up with dishes, laundry, cooking, and not looking like a hobo, science experiments tend to fall pretty low on the necessity scale.
Nothing says "Jesus is the the tomb" like a pink volcano in a test tube, I always say.

Andrew complained, but I reminded him that it would actually be penitential for him, and thus perfect for Holy Saturday!

And want to know what?  They had SO much fun!  Because every. single. reaction. was HILARIOUS!

There we go - so funny that he's doubled over grabbing his crotch so he doesn't pee in his pants...

I'm linking this up with Cari at Clan Donaldson because what's better than capturing that reaction to hilarity?  Looking at everyone else's takes on "funny!"

  2. Looks like SOOO much fun. I also leave those things for their dad, and I don't even have twins, I'm just not very, how do you say it? Smart.

  3. Way to guilt Andrew into it by using Jesus :) I'm so glad they had fun. Hopefully they managed to keep that pink liquid off of your new floors (hence the tray, I'm sure. Good thinking!)

  4. I think the funniest part is that you convinced your hubby to do it to be holier. John Paul's face cracking up is contagious!

  8. I distinctly remember holding myself to keep from peeing while laughing as a child. Oh wait, that was yesterday. HA! Kidding! Sort of. Great pics.

  9. John Paul also laughs hysterically when he watches me play spider solitaire. At least I *think* that was the game.
