My Sunday Best, Volume 92: Not ENTIRELY a Disaster?

Sunday, February 4, 2018

Happy Sunday!

When you dawdle getting coats and mittens on, sometimes the photographer has to take a selfie...

Peter BEGGED me to take him to Mass this week. After two very peaceful weeks with only three kids on my own, I thought maybe it wouldn't be disastrous to throw him into the mix? Maybe?

Well... Not a TOTAL disaster! Mary Claire was VERY angry because Peter was reading one of her books, so she had to loudly snatch it from him, then get very upset every time he came close to touching her. Eventually I had to take both of them out because she wouldn't be quiet and I knew I couldn't leave him in the pew with the other kids...

Then later I had to take him out because he wouldn't be quiet, and when we went back in poor Mary Claire had been crying in the pew the whole time, who KNOWS how loudly... She had been relying on me to tell her when to turn the pages in her little missal, and totally broke down because she can't follow along on her own yet.

Speaking of missals, I had to promise to buy another copy of Treasure and Tradition (not an affiliate link, just a really amazing book) because the girls can't possibly be expected to share.

Anyway, we made it to Communion, there weren't any screaming fits, and Peter won't be coming with us next week (but maybe with Grandma! He's GREAT now when he doesn't have anyone fighting with him...).

We all had to dress warmly because it was snowing this morning when we left! Thankfully it had turned to rain before we started back, because it was sticking to the roads and I wasn't sure I'd be able to get the van home with the amount that was accumulating...

Affiliate links below!

Dress: LulaRoe Nicole (I was looking for similar ones and didn't find any, but I did find this one, which is really cute, <$20, and nursing-friendly!!)
Crushable Hat (which survived some serious crushing): Amazon (exact one not available, but that's the correct product listing with other colors)

This week was an ON blogging week, apparently - I got FOUR posts written, which never, ever happens! In case you missed them...

Taming the Grumpy Baby's Tummy - Really this is worth looking at solely for the adorable pictures of Edith.

King Cakes and Wagon Rides - Including my favorite picture of Peter and Edith EVER.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! I'm not watching the Superbowl, and Andrew's taking the big kids to watch it at his dad's house, so I'll be home alone once the little four are in bed. What should I do??? Probably read a book and go to bed early.

Your turn!

Post your outfit details & links or not, regale us all with your children's antics, reflect deeply on the readings, or just do a straight picture post - anything goes as long as you actually wore your outfit to church. The link-up is open until Friday, so you've got plenty of time to add your post!

Just a few ground rules before you link up:

1. Please include a photo of what you wore to church this week.

2. Please link back to this post in the body of your post, so your readers know where to find other posts (posts not mentioning "My Sunday Best" or not linking back to this post will be subject to removal).

3. Please visit some other posts in the link-up & leave a nice comment - this is all about affirming each other and building community, not just link dropping :)

4. Make sure the link you add is a link to your specific post or instagram picture (hashtag #mysundaybest and mention me in your caption, @rosiehill425 so I don't miss it!), not just your blog address.

5. Enjoy, and thanks for linking up!
