St. Nicholas Day was a big hit this year! The kids all got Shining Light Dolls in their shoes and LOVE them (and they would make a great stocking stuffer if you're looking!), and new books for everybody but Peter. Sorry kid, we've got enough Christmas board books... Also two chocolate coins, no more.

(Mary Claire got There Was No Snow on Christmas Eve, Elizabeth got Christmas in the Big Woods, Cecilia got A Little House Christmas Treasury, and John Paul got The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey)
Still obsessed with the dolls.
Lately our Mass routine has been... Interesting. In our parish, there's a chapel separate from the church, and that kind of functions as the "cry room" with Mass streaming on a television. Me from 5 years ago would have been HORRIFIED and never ever would have done something like that for Mass.
Yup. That's where we sit.
Well, my mom takes John Paul and Mary Claire, and I take Peter and Cecilia and Elizabeth who CANNOT BE SEPARATED FROM ME and we sit in the front row of the chapel, watching Mass on TV, not worrying about who we're distracting or who needs to get taken to the back or what Father might be thinking of their antics...
Is it ideal? Of course not. But it's kind of great. You can go ahead and be all horrified at me - NOW I know where everybody with crazy children ends up at our parish! Right there in the chapel with the rest of the crazies ;)
Anyway, here's what I wore:
$3 Scarf: Amazon
Top: Ann Taylor via Twice, similar
Skirt: c/o Golden Tote - check out my review here or order your own box here - it would make a great gift!
Similar skirt, similar less than $40, similar for less than $25!
Boots: Vince Camuto from 4 years ago - similar here and SO worth the price, that leather has worn amazingly well!
And I couldn't *not* take pictures of the boys in their sweater vests, right?
Even though Peter was NOT having it.
After all, there was a new nativity to play with!
(What can I say? We were a lot more generous for St. Nicholas Day than we have been in years past...)
Linking up with Fine Linen & Purple for What I Wore Sunday - you should, too!
