  3. Congrats! And what an awkward time to pop a baby out at home. I guess your mom could TRY to wrangle the crew of wide awake kids out of the way, but discretion and obedience in time of excitement is not the Hallmark of children.

    1. Rosie had some lead time, so she sent her husband to Costco with the kids. Then when they came home, the kids came to my house (which is just behind Rosie's) and her husband went upstairs and promptly delivered Lucy. Pretty good timing, actually!

    2. Wow that's great! I have a kids almost exactly Peter and Edith's ages and a 6 month old so I know how clueless, needy, and rambunctious our darling kids can be. It sounds like that part went smoothly then. Praise God.
