30-some Catholic women bloggers (along with 8 babies, and 5 babes in uteri) descended upon Ana Hahn's house yesterday and between mimosas, coffee, and sangria, had some lovely and fruitful discussions!
Also a little bit of trampoline jumping. Or sitting, in some cases ;)
I *do* really hope that if you have a blog, you're able to get to a gathering like this some day. If there isn't one near you, plan one!!! There's something so fulfilling about being in the presence of so many other women who are willing to share their lives publicly and open themselves up to criticism and vulnerability. The reaffirmation that it's not about numbers, it's about where the Spirit is leading us... It's important. And while I do little besides share snippets of our day-to-day here, maaaybe somewhere, someone is seeing and hearing exactly what they need from what little I have to offer.
We had bloggers from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia (were there other states? I think there must have been?) in attendance, and this year no bears made an appearance!
And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming: what I wore to Mass (affiliate links below):
Um stop, when did these girls get so old?? Pay no attention to Cecilia's post-Mass attire or the holes in Elizabeth's toes...
Edith's dress: Zulily from Cecilia's infancy, this one is similar and comes with a matching bonnet! OH and this one is an amazing price right now but only comes in 6 months... Somebody jump on that!
We saw Theresa and her family and Amanda and hers at Mass - I had to chuckle inwardly as we all ended up in the lobby with our kids! #Catholicproblems
Your turn!
Post your outfit details & links or not, regale us all with your children's antics, reflect deeply on the readings, or just do a straight picture post - anything goes as long as you actually wore your outfit to church. The link-up is open until Friday, so you've got plenty of time to add your post!
Just a few ground rules before you link up:
1. Please include a photo of what you wore to church this week.
2. Please link back to this post in the body of your post, so your readers know where to find other posts (posts not mentioning "My Sunday Best" or not linking back to this post will be subject to removal).
3. Please visit some other posts in the link-up & leave a nice comment - this is all about affirming each other and building community, not just link dropping :)
4. Make sure the link you add is a link to your specific post or instagram picture (hashtag #mysundaybest and mention me in your caption, @rosiehill425 so I don't miss it!), not just your blog address.
5. Enjoy, and thanks for linking up!
