You bet I am! Someone had to make it a little less lonely, right?
If you're new here, I spent all of July wearing nothing but skirts and dresses as a style experiment. Check out my thoughts on that here - My Mom Style, the first link up here - A Pants-Free Link Up, and my summary post and link up.
And guess what? Ain't No Mom Jeans and Life in Mod's July "How We Wear It" theme is maxi skirts! So I'm linking up with them, too!
Let's be real - maxi skirts and dresses are one of the only articles of clothing that rival sweatpants in comfiness, and yet they actually look good enough to wear in public!
Here are a few of my favorite ways that I style maxi skirts (or dresses, which I often style as skirts!):
Add a chambray shirt |
Lace and stripes |
Simple t-shirt with scarf |
Layer a slouchy shirt |
Add a button-down, tied |
Belt a blouse and cardi |
Tuck and add a scarf |
Hike up the maxi to change the length! |
You are rapidly talking me into a maxi skirt ~ even if the fashion gurus say I'm too short.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Joy. At 5 feet even, I feel like maxi skirts swallow me!!
ReplyDeleteI'm only 5'2"! It's worth a try - if nothing else, you can pass it along to Frances when she reaches your height in a couple of years ;)
DeleteHave loved your no-pants month! And, you look great in a maxi!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these, but I especially love how you rock scarves!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute in all of your maxi skirt outfits. I bought three maxi's at B.J.'s Wholesale Club this summer--inspired by your skirt challenge posts. I LOVE them. I wore a turquoise and white striped one to my family reunion and got all kinds of compliments. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'd love to see pictures of the turquoise one, I bet it's lovely! I wish they sold maxi skirts at Costco...
DeleteI love how you changed the length of it- I've never thought of doing that before! Hmmmm now I have some ideas...
ReplyDeleteUh...love, love, love all those outfits Rosie! You've given me lots of ideas and I'm runnin' with them!
