Happy Feast of Corpus Christi (observed, if you already celebrated on Thursday)! We're going to our very first Eucharistic Procession this evening and... I'm nervous.
I mean, I think the kids will do awesome, but my tailbone has been killing me for weeks (yes, you can throw any and all advice at me - this happens every pregnancy but it's started earlier with this one and means I basically can't do anything without being miserable...). So I'm not sure I can actually *participate* in the procession... Maybe I'll just bring a chair and wait for everyone back at the beginning? Or suck it up and walk anyway? #catholicproblems #offeritup #therewillbeicecreamafterwards
1. Find the sun!
2. Face away from the sun!
3. Better yet, find a spot in the shade.
Because otherwise you end up with a shadowy, squinty shot like this!

(In the event that you're looking for cute skirts for your summer wardrobe, I posted a roundup of a bunch (including some on awesome sale!) on Friday, which you should check out!)
Peter was in rare form during Mass today, so we made it through the readings and part of an especially long homily, and then were out in the lobby for most of the rest of Mass. The best part was when he started freaking out and trying to get me to go back for Communion because HE didn't get any! He kept straining toward the front yelling, "Poo-doo! Poo-doo!!!!!!!" (How he says his name - the "oo" rhymes with look-book)
This was actually the first Mass in ages where I couldn't even stay in the chapel (which functions as a cry room with Mass streaming in) through the end - I had to completely take him outside because he was just plain done. I think I'm going to need to start going to the 7 AM by myself (or with just a child or two) because I physically can't wrestle him all through Mass!
Your turn!
Post your outfit details & links or not, regale us all with your children's antics, reflect deeply on the readings, or just do a straight picture post - anything goes as long as you actually wore your outfit to church. The link-up is open until Friday, so you've got plenty of time to add your post!
Just a few ground rules before you link up:
1. Please include a photo of what you wore to church this week.
2. Please link back to this post in the body of your post, so your readers know where to find other posts.
3. Please visit some other posts in the link-up & leave a nice comment - this is all about affirming each other and building community, not just link dropping :)
4. Make sure the link you add is a link to your specific post or instagram picture, not just your blog address.
5. Enjoy, and thanks for linking up!
