My Sunday Best, Volume 13: Pants-Free Week 4

Sunday, July 24, 2016

Happy Sunday! I'm on my own with the kiddos today and am trying to write this while fighting them away from the computer and dealing with sobbing over untied ballet slippers... Sorry it's late! Here's what I wore this week:

Affiliate links included:

Monday: Non-maternity shirt from Stitch Fix, stretchy jersey skirt from last pregnancy

Tuesday: Stretchy jersey dress, ThredUp

Wednesday: Old top (similar sleeveless, similar with sleeves) & maxi dress (similar), both non-maternity from Forever 21

Thursday: Maternity top from Motherhood last pregnancy, denim maternity skirt, Mary Claire's finest photography!

Friday: Top from Old Navymaternity skirt (As you can see from this week, I tend to gravitate towards blue and stripes...)

Saturday: Ooooold maxi dress, giant belly, neighbor horse, errant chickens in the background (which we FINALLY caught!)

I had to remind myself not to be self-conscious of my imperfect "pedicure" - Cecilia and I had a girls' night on Friday while Andrew and John Paul were at a baseball game (she was so bored at the last one that she made them leave early, so she chose to stay home with me this time). We watched Anastasia, painted each other's nails, and sat around having girl talk. It was lovely, but I'm not sure which of us did a worse job on my toenails... I did a second coat to cover up her first coat, but I can't exactly reach my toes easily right now, so it wasn't much of an improvement! At least my awesome tan lines distract from the shoddy polish job!

I wore a dress (similar but way cuter!) I've had since I was pregnant with John Paul, and Elizabeth decided to pose with me. That smile!!!

My mom's out of town and we currently only have one car, which Andrew needed to take to his Mass, so we couldn't all go to the 8:30 together. Mary Claire was up around 6 though, so I took her to the 7. Usually "just one child" makes for a fairly peaceful Mass, but she's currently a big fan of spending most of Mass saying, "I'm tiiiiiired" and trying to lie down on the pew. Or "I CAN'T SEE!!!" and then not actually caring if I find her a way to see things.

I did kind of love the fact that we were talking about the Gospel on the way to Mass and I read the words and she scolded, "Mom! Dat's NOT how we pray it."

True. According to Father's homily, we use the "Our Father" words from the Gospel according to St. Matthew, not St. Luke. The more you know!

Your turn!

Post your outfit details & links or not, regale us all with your children's antics, reflect deeply on the readings, or just do a straight picture post - anything goes as long as you actually wore your outfit to church. The link-up is open until Friday, so you've got plenty of time to add your post!

Just a few ground rules before you link up:

1. Please include a photo of what you wore to church this week.

2. Please link back to this post in the body of your post, so your readers know where to find other posts (posts not mentioning "My Sunday Best" or not linking back to this post will be subject to removal).

3. Please visit some other posts in the link-up & leave a nice comment - this is all about affirming each other and building community, not just link dropping :)

4. Make sure the link you add is a link to your specific post or instagram picture, not just your blog address.

5. Enjoy, and thanks for linking up!
