My Sunday Best, Volume 78: Sometimes You Just Let Them Eat Paper

Happy Sunday! And Happy Feast of Christ the King! Ah yes, I didn't know either... Until suddenly there was incense at Mass and it was quite a bit longer than usual... Good reason to eat something yummy tonight!

John Paul was singing with the children's choir this morning, so Cecilia and Mary Claire went with my mom because they were excited to support him, which means I "only" had Edith and Elizabeth. Thankfully Elizabeth was happy to sit with some friends during Mass, so she got to be near the front and I got to deal with Edith without the "helpful" older sibling who likes to make lots of noise to try to make the baby laugh.

Edith was in rare form today - trying to snatch things from other babies, wanting to nurse but then expose me to the world, desperate to be put down and then picked up and then put down and then picked up and WAIT IS THAT SOME TRASH ON THE FLOOR THAT I COULD EAT??? Probably the most success I had was letting her play with the paper that had the propers on it, which she crumpled and ripped and definitely ate a little bit of... But she was being quiet-ish, so yes, I let the baby eat paper. Whatever works.
