Just like Abbey, I saw "Double" as this week's theme and immediately thought, "I've got this! Twins!"
So I got out the camera and tried and TRIED to take a decent picture of them together.
Tried.
I really did.
But you know what's REALLY hard? Getting two almost-walking babies to hold still for more than 1.5 seconds... The best I could get was this shot before the camera battery died:
So since I just shared a few of my favorites in this post, I went back through the archives looking for more of my favorite twin pictures!
Just a few days old |
A pretty accurate representation of their relationship... |
Double snacks |
Double smiles! |
Double reach |
Double giggles |
Thank goodness for these pictures, because life has been ROUGH this week with two teething and miserable babies who both want to be carried all the time... I wore both of them to make dinner last night and my back was killing me after only about 20 minutes! 40+ lbs of baby demanding to be bounced and sung to while I chopped potatoes will do that to a body...
Anyway, enough whining. Check out more "Double" at Clan Donaldson!
You're amazing...wearing twins while cooking dinner - I would call out for pizza. See? That's why God hasn't given me twins (yet?), because I'm not as awesome as those called for the job. Your girls are so adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Except for the teething babies.... Ugh. I'm with Colleen, I would be ready to throw in the towel and order out! Hope today is better!
ReplyDeleteDouble babies are the best. Look at those adorable smiles!! I think you will have the best post for this theme ;)
ReplyDeleteOh' I thought of you when this theme came around!
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is how you actually put both babies in their carriers to wear them both? Can you do it yourself? We only have one carrier right now, and usually only one twin needs to be held, so for now it works. :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there Mama! I think it's amazing that you made dinner while wearing two babies ... I totally would have forced my husband to pick up something on the way home!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteI also look back a cute pictures during the tough times.
Hope they are feeling better soon.
Twin mama of the week award goes to YOU for making dinner while wearing both. That's a big win.
ReplyDeleteI love the double reach picture. There's something especially funny about when ours do something in a synchronized way since they aren't identical...do you find that, too? It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it always gets me.
Me too! It's like a mirror image but TOTALLY not because they're doing the exact same thing but they look totally different!
DeleteThose pics are awesome! When R was in a non-Father's-Day-present-picture-taking-mood... I may or may not have bribed her with Smarties... They are small enough that they you would have to be looking hard at the pic to really see them and they are super sweet so usually a smile emerges
ReplyDeleteHmmm might be worth a try for Christmas card pictures! It's getting to be that time of year...
DeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the double smiles.
ReplyDeleteCooking while baby-wearing?! There ought to be an award for that!!
ReplyDeleteI was hungry - no way were they getting between me and my mashed potatoes!
DeleteWearing two babies is amazing! I don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeleteTwo ergos - one in front and one on the back :P
DeleteSuch cute picts! I esp. love the newborn one. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I cannot imagine a double dose of teething! Definite props to you for continuing to make dinner while holding both babies!
I think we used up our entire eating out allotment in the first few months that they were born!
DeleteAwwwwww, twinsies! I love!
ReplyDeleteLove every single one of the shots!
