28/52: Balloons and Skateboards
Monday, July 23, 2018
We are in full summer mode here - the flowers the girls started from seed are blooming, outside time is all day every day (except when everyone is DESPERATE to come inside and read and then throw their books on the floor), and creativity abounds!
The girls found out they could take the wheels off an old doll stroller, and Cecilia decided to duct tape them to an old board. They were very proud of their skateboard/cart creation. Sadly, it kept falling apart, because duct tape isn't exactly meant to bear the weight of three little girls. It was fun while it lasted! And now, of course, the wheels have been scattered hither and yon.
We went to a birthday party the other day and the kids all got punching bag balloons as party favors. In Edith's book, those are the best ever. They even lasted a few days before anybody popped them! It *almost* made me want to buy more but... No thanks..

Rosie i buy the punch balloons from Dollar Tree (come in three packs) and those are helping us survive Louisiana summer heat and/or lightning storms. Maybe candidates for your winters?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's worth how much the other kids fight over them!
DeleteOh I'm so sorry!
