Product Review: Kigurumi Costume

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

When Rizzi from Kigs contacted me to see if I'd be interested in reviewing a Kigurumi costume, I was pretty excited!  I'd never heard of this type of costume, but with kids who love dressing up, I knew it was right up our alley.

Here's the scoop:

- They sell adult and child-sized costumes.  The child-sized costumes are intended to fit ages 5-9 - John Paul is about 4.5 and 41 inches tall, and it's definitely big on him but still totally works.

- They're made out of fleece and are REALLY easy to put on.  And they have pockets!

- They come in several designs (I had a tough time deciding between the kangaroo and the owl, but I thought the little joey in the pouch would be beloved by all, and I was right!) and feel like a really good quality to me!

These aren't a super heavy fleece, so they're appropriate for dress-up in warmer weather, but they're loose enough to fit over tons of clothing to make them great for cold weather as well.  I could see them as an easy Halloween option, or an AWESOME addition to your dress-up bin.  When the kids are bigger I could definitely see more costumes going on their wish lists!

Right now, these costumes are selling for $54.99 on Amazon, but if you sign up on the Kigs website you can get a 5% off discount coupon.  They say shipping takes 3-5 days but I got mine in 2, so you have plenty of time to get one by Christmas!

Um, I told you they make them for adults, right?  But if you happen to be an adult on the small side (say, 5'2" or so...), you can proooobably fit into a costume of your own...  And feel a little bit like a Pokémon?

So there you have it!  Get 5% off on their website, or feel free to use my referral link if you're ordering through Amazon.

Thanks to Rizzi for providing us with this costume for review, free of charge!  While the product was free, the opinions are honest and all my own.

  1. John Paul looks so cute! As opposed to Cecilia, who looks pretty ridiculous. And Tim looks as if he's disgusted with the whole thing, but he's probably just thinking about something else.

    1. Haha I know! And I think he was just zoned out, but it's so much better if you interpret it as disgust :P
