Second, our lives were more full of piles last week, so I'm using those pictures...
I just love these because the piles of laundry are very much in focus, but the kids are completely oblivious to the insanity that is our lives right now.
Cecilia may be chewing on a giraffe...
Just happily reading together!
And yes, you do spy Lego Star Wars underwear on top of a box...
This is so our lives right now - behind on ALL household chores, and yet the kids are perfectly happy with the chaos and disarray because they still have their toys and books and can sit on their beds reading :)
Check out more variations on the theme at Clan Donaldson!
Oh my gosh. Theme Thursday theme song. It will be epic.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love these pictures. What a great visual reminder that all the chaos that drives me crazy as a mother goes mostly unnoticed by my kids. They just like reading books, hanging out together, and chewing on giraffes.
Giraffe chewing is probably a universal activity.
Giraffe-chewing should have its own theme. The refrain should be full of giraffe sounds.
DeleteI'm sensing a laundry theme this week!! Domestically challenged mothers unite!
ReplyDeleteYou did it! I was so hoping someone would take pictures of piles of laundry!
ReplyDeleteWe have that exact giraffe. In Cecilia's defense, I think that giraffe was made for chewing.
What baffles me is that she never chewed it when she was AT a chewing age, and now, at 2, she's chewing it!
DeleteLaundry can wait - such sweeties!
ReplyDeleteAh, but it can only wait so long before it becomes impossible to tell the dirty from the clean and it all ends up getting washed again :P
DeleteKids help remind us of what is really important, don't they? Mine will do the same thing. Except for maybe the giraffe chewing, but that may only be because we don't have a giraffe made for chewing. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, it doesn't need to be made for chewing - mine will chew it anyway :P
DeleteHey, maybe I should jump on the laundry pile bandwagon. You know I gots 'em!
ReplyDeleteLego Star wars underwear!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteRight??? 10-pack from Costco, it's one of his only motivations to get dressed in the morning :P
DeleteOh man - when are we ever on top of our chores??!! Not me anyway ;) The kids are so cute just sitting there reading. Sometimes we do have to skip chores...and hire a housekeeper!!
ReplyDeleteI wish! If only Mary Poppins were real...
DeleteLego Star Wars underwear is the best! And a Lego Star Wars t-shirt? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI just adore those pictures. Laundry piles and happy kids. Real life.
I love Lego Star Wars! My husband's a huge old school fan but I've never seen the actual movies (I know, I don't know how I've avoided it). We all love the video games, though! And those Lego R2s and C3POs are just too cute :)
DeleteTHEME SONG! THEME SONG! If that blonde chick in A League of Their Own can do it, you can do it. And then I will make a secret handshake, should any of us meet in person.
ReplyDeleteMy laundry piles and your laundry piles can be BFFs. They match...even the baskets look alike. And the little people here don't care, either...except that they keep climbing into the baskets and tossing socks and undies into the middle of the floor. Thanks for sharing your piles!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I love more, the realistic laundry baskets or the precious sweetness of your kids. Yeah, the kids. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThey will never remember piles of laundry, but will remember sweet times of shared reading!
