I had the picture all planned out - Cecilia sandwiched between Mary Claire and Elizabeth, all on their tummies and smiling.  I forgot that trying to get a 2-year-old and two 6-month-olds to cooperate long enough to take a decent picture was an impossible task...

"I'm all done!"

"I need to go pway wiff da hula hoop!"

"Awww...  She just wants to snuggle me!  I LOVE you, Elizabeth!"

Twin snuggles!

Why snuggle when you can maul?

Here we go, almost cooperating!

Just look at the camera!

"I'm all done!  But da babies on my arms!"

"She want to suck my finger!"

"She want me to touch her head!"

Aaaaand at that point I gave up...  But look, here's Mary Claire looking REALLY excited!!!

  1. Excellent, sometimes the out-takes are better then what you planned; though in the moment I feel your pain.

  3. Haha, these are awesome. Cecilia looks like she's giving MC a head massage in the 2nd-to-last one. And I love excited MC!

    1. Or exercising her brain sucking skills - somehow Mary Claire totally didn't mind!

  6. I've nearly given up trying to pose my kids, and I can only imagine trying to wrangle infant twins in the mix!

    1. The twins were more cooperative than Cecilia! But not for long, once these babies learn how to walk I have a feeling they'll never hold still!

  7. Look at those baby grins!! Love these- esp. the twin maul. :) Oh man, isn't it hard to get posed photos of kids together? Plop them in place, snap away, and hope for the best!

  8. Sisters - you can never get them to all play nicely at the same time.

  9. Ha...they NEVER cooperate when you want them too. I love your commentary...and the outtakes are perfect. Thank goodness for digital cameras, right?

    1. I don't know what I would do without the instant gratification of digital cameras! Such a crazy world we live in :)

  10. Oh my those are hysterical! I love those ones of her "loving" on her baby sister - brings back such memories :)

    1. It shows you just how much tougher younger siblings are - we would have been TERRIFIED to see any child interacting with our first baby like that!

  11. Hahahaha! The arched back in the first one says it all! I love how the big kids are narrating for the twins. They think they can push their own agenda by saying that it's what the baby wants... :)

  12. Love it. I've stopped even trying to plan out pictures anymore, because of that exact thing. They always end up better when they're improvised anyway.

    1. It seems so simple in my head, but any plan that involves more than one child doing what I want is bound to fail!

  13. So much fun!! This is similar to what happens when I try to pose my kids, so I've just given up!

    1. I think I'm giving up too! I need to just start videotaping them and capturing them that way, since they never hold still anymore!

  14. Elizabeth is adorable. Not that I'm biased or anything... :)

    1. Am I a terrible mom if I say I think she has the best smile out of all of them?
