ONE
Yes, it's a 12-dollar hunk of plastic. But for some reason the big kids LOVE holding it while they walk with the stroller. We used it extensively on vacation last summer because we didn't want to bring a double stroller, and John Paul calmly held the strap and walked as fast as his little legs would carry him through the airport and everywhere else!
TWO
These teethers:
Not that we're anywhere near teething, but I picked these up at TJ Maxx the other day (um, don't pay that Amazon price...) and Elizabeth LOVES them!!! Mary Claire doesn't particularly care, and neither baby is teething but they're super-grippable and chewable.
THREE
Guacamole
I used to hate it, because I had never tasted it and the idea grossed me out. Then when I got pregnant with Cecilia avocados suddenly seemed like a good idea and I started liking it. And now I LOVE it! So much so that last night I had to use up our ripening avocados, so I made this guacamole (minus the jalapeno and cayenne pepper because I'm a wuss) and ate ALL of it. And it was delicious, although I ate it at about 10:30 and every time I woke up (and there were oh-so-many night wakings last night, courtesy the twins) I regretted the garlic and onions just a little bit...
But seriously! All the good fats! And all the deliciousness!
FOUR
Countertop herb garden
3 plants fron the Farmer's Market, 3 pots from the Dollar Store, and I've got my favorites right there! Sage, basil, and oregano. I might pick up rosemary & thyme another week, but I've already been using them lots!
FIVE
Tandem babywearing
Okay, I don't actually enjoy it that much... But it makes me feel like a rock star!
Linking up with Grace this week, the substitute hostess with the mostess! Hallie's basking in the wonders of a sin-free child, so check out other link-ups at Camp Patton!

1) You are a rockstar (have I said this enough? I'm seriously in awe. )
ReplyDelete2) Love quac too. Although last night it was avocado and cilantro sour cream on tilapia. I restrained myself from licking the bowl haha
You are a rockstar!
ReplyDeleteWill have to keep my eyes out for those teethers, thanks!
Tandem wearing definitely makes you a rockstar!
ReplyDeleteLove your countertop herbs too..you've got two of my 3 favorite herbs there (I love oregano, basil and rosemary).
I need to get some rosemary... That one should work well outdoors, right?
DeleteYes! Rosemary is so easy. Plant it and it gets as big as a bush, and stays green all year. Also, my oregano does not stay green through the winter, but it comes back strong once the weather starts to warm up. I love fresh herbs!
DeleteEvery time I've had rosemary, it has died. But then I'm in zone 6b. Where are you, Erica?
DeleteI'm totally impressed by the tandem baby wearing! I've thought about trying it with my 3 year old on the back and 9 month old on the front, but that's a 60 pound load and the cartilage in my spine shrieks in terror. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to try it with Cecilia on my back and one of the babies on my front but Cecilia freaked out last time I tried to wear her... And that's only like, 40 pounds of baby total but yeah, still too much!!!
DeleteImpressive baby wearing! I love those pots for the herbs, and #1 is such a great idea- never heard of it, so thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are def. a rockstar! Oh my goodness, at least thank you for acknowledging that you don't enjoy it that much. And your son's robot? hoodie is equally rockstar.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at that item in #1! My sons have such a hard time staying with the stroller or grocery cart. And they hate holding my hand. They act like I'm torturing them!! I am definitely looking into that for our upcoming Disney trip!
ReplyDeleteI've used it on a grocery cart too and it works great! And how exciting that you have a Disney trip coming up!!! I bet the kids are just the perfect ages to go right now :)
DeleteI was never much of a guacamole fan until last summer when I started having it all the time. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd SO many good calories!!! I bet it helps grow those twins a ton!
DeleteAre you able to carry the twins that way in public? Just thinking about carrying one in the front and one in the back makes my back hurt, but maybe since the weight is evenly distributed its not too bad?
ReplyDeleteI'm a little off balance right now with just a couple weeks left of my pregnancy.
I haven't tried yet because I pretty much don't go out in public without my husband :P But I prefer to put one in the stroller and wear the other on my back. Elizabeth seems to like the stroller a LOT more than being worn, so it works out pretty well. I haven't tried it for long enough periods of time to know if it makes my back hurt!
DeleteSo glad you are telling the world about that amazing stroller clip. You must burn so many calories between nursing the twins and carrying them around - no wonder you're so skinny!
