While you're here, want to stop by and give me some vegetarian recipes for Lent? Thanks!
Not our best Mass this week. Cecilia decided to throw a fit because there was only one purple pencil in the pew and she couldn't find it because she had put it in her offering envelope. Then John Paul was standing where she wanted to stand. And sitting where she wanted to sit. So of course she had to scream and wail. Wouldn't you?
On the plus side, one of my favorite priests was celebrating. Did you know Justice Antonin Scalia has 9 children, one of whom is a priest in the Arlington Diocese? We love Father Scalia :)
Anyway, here's what we wore:
John Paul is wearing the same pants as last week and his Christmas shirt from Janie & Jack via the consignment store. He took his sweater vest off the moment we got home...
Cecilia is wearing an H&M onesie, Carter's jumper, leggings and snowflake socks because she refused to wear her awesome argyle tights.
I've got on my trusty Spanx, a Banana Republic wrap dress that I've had since college (SERIOUSLY, the wrap dress is one of God's gifts to women - so very adjustable that I can pretend I'm the same size I was in college!), a couple cheapo layered forever 21 tanks (because the straps are stretchy and I can throw it away when it gets ruined without feeling too wasteful) and awesome burgundy faux-snakeskin pumps from Nine West. One of my all-time favorite pairs of shoes.
Elizabeth sports a Carter's outfit (the jumper is on backwards. What can I say, Andrew dressed her and he's a boy :P) with pink baby legs.
Not pictured: Andrew's orange-and-blue madras bow tie paired with another pinstriped suit, Mary Claire's rerun outfit, my cleavage-hiding scarf.

DeleteI love the idea of a wrap dress. You look great and are a hero in my eyes for making it to Mass with four.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, we make it there by the skin of our teeth! And at least last week, the priest didn't notice how bad the kids were...
DeleteWhat a cute wrap dress! My daughter has that same Carters jumper (black w/ the bow). :)
ReplyDeleteI love that jumper! Sadly I think we have to retire it, since it was so hard to get off she almost started crying...
